IRAQI SHOE-THROWER "WAS BEATEN"

Hi guys.USA president Mr.Bush has been attacked in Iraq by Muntader al-Zaidi,a press reporter on Sunday while he was gesturing the reporters along with the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri Maliki.The guy was immediately arrested after he threw the shoes on Bush at the meeting hall itself and he was beaten in front of everyone.
The investigating judge in this case reported that the man shows signs of having been beaten.The judge, who saw Muntader al-Zaidi this week, said the journalist had bruises on his face and about his eyes.The court is investigating the beating and officials will catch records of the incident. One of his brothers said the journalist had broken ribs and injuries to his arm too.
Judge Dhiya al-Kenani confirmed that Mr Zaidi had written a letter of apology to the Iraqi prime minister asking for a pardon for his "big, ugly act" of throwing his shoes at Mr Bush.
The judge said the Iraqi president could grant a pardon if the prime minister requested it, though only following a conviction.
He said the journalist had not pressed any charges relating to his injuries. Muntader al-Zaidi, a correspondent for an Iraqi-owned TV station based in Cairo, could face imprisonment on charges of insulting and attempting to assault a foreign leader.

INDIA'S TOUR OF PAKISTAN CANCELLED

Hi guys.Happy to meet you all again with a interesting article.The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) officially announced today that the Pakistan tour in January 2009 has been canceled.BCCI official Rajiv Shukla announced this today as they got information from the Indian government.Indain government said that Pakistan is involved in Mumbai attack of last month and it is not good for players having cricket with them while many of the people are suffering because of terrorists.Pakistan cricket board(PCB) asked BCCI to re-cnsider about the tour since they are economically going worse this year and will go down if all the tours have been canceled.Australia and South Africa already canceled their tour of Pakistanbecause of security reasons.West Indies is the only team in which recently accepted the offer of PCB to play the one-day series in Abu-Dhabi and it got over last month.
BCCI dint gave any assurance for the tour as they waited for Government's decision.Today they got infromation and officially announced that the Tour has been canceled.

INAUGURAL CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IN INDIA PUT OFF


Hi guys.Happy to meet you all again with an interesting topic.The inaugural edition of Champions League 20-20 cricket has called off this year due to security concerns following last month Mumbai terrorists attacks.The tournament will now resume in October 2009 in India said Lalit Modi,Chairman of IPL.
The $6 million dollar edition has been postponed to next year as several issues coming day by day from the cricketers around the world.It is also said that various issues including scheduling were considered before taking the decision.
"The governing council comprising the founder board members took this collective decision after taking all aspects into consideration",Modi said.
The governing council consists of Indian,Australian and South African cricket boards were also thought of busy international schedule while taking the decision about the champions League.

STRAUSS TON LEAD ENGLAND IN CHENNAI TEST

After strong decision took by England cricket team to play in India by resuming the two test series, first test started today in Chennai. England captain Kevin Pieterson won the toss and chose to field without any hesitation as the conditions looked good for batting. Andrew Strauss and Alastair cook opened the innings. They both played well and gave solid partnership of 118 runs after cook falling to Harbhajan Singh. After then no good partnerships for England since Indian bowlers took wickets in regular intervals.Andrew Strauss scored his 10th century. He scored 109 and felled to Amit Mishra. PETROL,DIESEL PRICES WENT DOWN A LITTELE BIT

Hi friends.Happy to meet you all again with an interesting article.After a long period and by an hard decision,our central government lowered petrol and diesel prices from yesterday.Petrol lowered by Rs.5 and diesel for just Rs.2,even though the barrel price is still under $50.Petroleum minister did not got any authentication from his party leader to cut down the prices as it has been said that after 4 state's election there will be a reduction in price.But there has been more comments from the opposition parties for not reducing the petrol and diesel prices that owed petroleum minister to make a decision.Even though the petroleum companies suffering from huge loss by selling petroleum products below the production cost,central government did not reduced prices as this will compromise the companies losses.But a nation wide speculation and urge to cut down oil price let the central govt in a critical position as it announced it yesterday.

PAKISTAN REJECTS INDIA'S PLEA

Pakistan president rejected India's request to hand over Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Hafiz Mohd. Sayeed and other terrorists in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks, and doubted whether the arrested terrorist is a Pakistani.
India demanded 20 terrorists who are suspected to be involved in Mumbai attack to be handed over to Indian military force after New Delhi conference which held two days before."If there exists any proof against the suspected terrorists we would investigate them in our land and we would sentence them”,Pakistan president said in an interview."They(India) did not prove any witness to say that he is definitely a Pakistani. I very much doubt that he’s a Pakistani",he added."we are not responsible for the Mumbai attack as white House and CIA said that pak having connection in the mumbai attack",he strongly stated Pakistan's part in the attack."There wont be any chance of war between India and Pakistan,since democratic countries wont involve in such things",he said about the war situation."LeT is a prohibited terrorist body over the world and even if they involved in the attck we are not responsible for that",he added.

CHENNAI READY TO HOST FIRST TEST

Hi friends.Happy to meet you all again with an interesting topic.England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) security expert Reg Dickason gave his thumbs-up to the safety arrangements in Chennai, the venue for the first test match of the 2 test series.Dickason met BCCI secretary N srinivasn and City police commissioner Radhakrishnan after he arrived on wednesday morning in chennai.They had discussions about the security plan to the players.After that dickason gave green signal to ECb stating that chennai is fully secured place for playing the first test match.Meanwhile police commissioner Radhakrishnan assured Dickason about security for the players who are goging to stay in Taj coromanel hotel in Nungambakam."Central access control systems will be installed at the vantage points and the players' viewing area, as also the team hotel. The players, upon their arrival here, will be advised to restrict their movement outside the hotel area," he said.players will be arrived on thursday evening or by friday morning,reports said.They will start practising on 8th dec and no visitors allowed inside stadium for practising days.people are advised not to carry any things inside the stadium and also advised to use the watter bottles and spices avaolable in stadium.
